01

Plain-language summary

Dawnfield does not collect personal data, does not track players, does not sell or share personal data, and does not include advertising, analytics, remote crash reporting, account login, cloud save, leaderboard, or payment SDKs.

Game progress and settings remain on the player's device. Optional nearby co-op uses camera scanning, explicit clipboard actions, and local network communication only when the player creates or joins a nearby room.

02

Data collected by Dawnfield

Dawnfield currently collects no personal data from players. No personal information, location, contact data, user content, identifiers, usage data, diagnostics, financial information, or other data is transmitted to Dawnfield, the developer, or third-party services.

03

Permissions and on-device access

Camera

Camera access is used only to scan a nearby co-op room QR code after the player chooses the scan action. Frames are processed on device. Dawnfield does not store photos or videos and does not upload camera data.

Local network, Bonjour, and Wi-Fi state

Nearby co-op can create, advertise, discover, and join rooms on the same local network. iOS uses NSLocalNetworkUsageDescription and Bonjour service _dawnfield._tcp.. Android declares INTERNET, ACCESS_NETWORK_STATE, ACCESS_WIFI_STATE, and CHANGE_WIFI_MULTICAST_STATE for LAN hosting and discovery.

Clipboard

Clipboard access occurs when the player copies a room invite or explicitly chooses to paste an invite link. Dawnfield does not monitor clipboard changes and does not read clipboard contents automatically.

Local storage and UserDefaults

Dawnfield saves local progress, profiles, achievements, settings, controls, and recovery backups on the player's device. On iOS, the privacy manifest declares NSPrivacyAccessedAPICategoryUserDefaults with required reason CA92.1.

04

Nearby co-op network behavior

Nearby co-op is direct local network functionality. A host device may advertise a room and exchange room metadata, invite links, and synchronization messages with devices in the same room. Dawnfield does not receive this traffic on developer-operated servers.

Nearby co-op is intended for trusted Wi-Fi or personal hotspot use. It may use local HTTP/WebSocket traffic for joining and gameplay sync. Players should avoid using nearby co-op on untrusted public networks.

05

Retention, export, and deletion

Local game data remains on the device until the player deletes a profile, resets app data, imports a replacement save, clears operating-system storage, or uninstalls the app. Dawnfield has no remote account or cloud record to delete.

If a player exports local save data, the exported file remains under that player's control and is not uploaded by Dawnfield.

06

Children and families

Dawnfield does not knowingly collect personal information from children or any other players. The game has no accounts, user-generated content, unrestricted web browsing, ads, behavioral tracking, payments, or social SDKs.

07

Changes to this policy

If Dawnfield later introduces data collection, cloud services, analytics, advertising, accounts, payments, or remote crash reporting, this policy and the store disclosures will be updated before release.
