Dawnfield App Privacy

Dawnfield Privacy

Private by design. Local by default.

Dawnfield is a local-first game. Progress stays on the player's device, nearby co-op stays on the local network, and the app includes no accounts, ads, analytics, or player tracking.

What leaves the device

Data practices at a glance

"Collected" means data transmitted off the player's device to Dawnfield, the developer, or a third-party service. The current mobile build does not do that.

On device only

Nearby co-op permissions

Solo play works without accounts. These capabilities support nearby rooms and local save behavior.

Camera

Used only after the player chooses QR scan. Frames are processed on device and are not stored or uploaded.

Local network

Creates, discovers, and joins rooms on the same Wi-Fi or hotspot. iOS uses NSLocalNetworkUsageDescription and Bonjour _dawnfield._tcp.

Clipboard

Used only when the player copies an invite or chooses to paste one. Dawnfield does not read clipboard data in the background.

Local saves

Progress remains on device. iOS declares UserDefaults required-reason API use with reason CA92.1.

Nearby play

Local co-op stays local

Nearby co-op uses local HTTP/WebSocket traffic between devices on the same network. Dawnfield has no matchmaking server, account system, cloud relay, leaderboard, ad network, or analytics endpoint. Use nearby co-op on trusted Wi-Fi or a hotspot.

Player control

Your choices and controls

Dawnfield keeps no server-side personal data, so control stays with the player and the device.

01

Delete local progress

Use in-game Settings profile controls, clear app storage, or uninstall the app to remove local data.

02

Export or import saves

Exported local save files remain under the player's control and are never uploaded by Dawnfield.

03

Decline optional access

Camera and local network access can be declined. Solo play remains available.
